This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Orblocked ("the App", "we", "us", "our") handles information. Orblocked is a single-player puzzle game, and we keep our data practices as minimal as we can while still running and improving the game.
Orblocked is developed and operated by James Lockington, an individual developer based in Australia. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), James Lockington is the "data controller" for the limited data described below. You can reach us at any time at screggins@gmail.com.
To understand how players engage with the game, to fix problems, and to show ads, the App uses two third-party services that automatically collect a limited set of data:
This approximate, IP-derived location is region-level only (for example your country) — it is not precise GPS location, which the App does not collect. While none of this data identifies you by name, identifiers such as a device or advertising ID are treated as pseudonymous personal data under laws like the GDPR — not "anonymous." That means the privacy rights described below still apply to it.
Orblocked is intended to be enjoyable and safe for a broad audience. We have set AdMob's ad content rating to a family-friendly level and have blocked sensitive ad categories including gambling and betting, alcohol, and social-casino games. Ads are non-personalized, so watching one does not add you to an advertising profile.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
You have the right to ask us to access, correct, or delete data associated with your device, to object to or restrict certain processing, and (in the EEA/UK) to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email screggins@gmail.com — because the data is pseudonymous, we may ask for the device advertising identifier so we can locate the relevant records.
You can also control advertising directly:
We keep analytics data only as long as needed to measure and improve the game — in aggregate, ongoing; at an event level, for a limited period after which GameAnalytics ages it out. Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google's own retention practices. If you ask us to delete data associated with your device, we will do so where we are able to identify it.
Our service providers (Google and GameAnalytics) are global companies and may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where data is transferred out of the EEA/UK, those providers rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Orblocked is a general-audience game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not serve personalized ads to anyone. The family-friendly ad content rating and blocked sensitive categories described above apply to every player. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We do not "sell" personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). California residents have the rights described in "Your choices and rights" above and will not be discriminated against for exercising them.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
